Re: A Case MRE's Supplied in Hurricane Maria

Looking to trade and/or sell these two cases for anything international or individually. Also I'm from Puerto Rico so pardon me if I''m doing something wrong, we civilians saw these for the first time when the storm hit us. Most people tossed them away because they didn't like them. I became fascin...

Re: 98 RCW's for Auction. Also some 2020 insp MREs

Mike, I understand your concern and understand if people are wary. I know that I am new to the forum and I have no one to vouch for me, but believe me when I say that inflating the auctions is just something I wouldn't do. I do my best to deal in good faith in all aspects of my life, and believe in...

Re: 98 RCW's for Auction. Also some 2020 insp MREs

Some people have ghost accounts on their secondary devices (ie list item on phone, then up the bids on their tablet). If they don't find a collector to outbid themselves they just complete the transaction by selecting "bank transfer" and marking the transaction completed or by issuing themselves a r...

Re: HELP! Australian CR1M 2011-2012 - Safe to eat?

2) How can I tell if a main is no good, other than the smell? 3) Are the soups safe to consume if, by some miracle, they reconstitute? 4) Are the high energy sports drinks safe to consume if the packs are airtight but the goods have changed texture and appearance? 5) Do the tubes of sweetened conde...

Another subtle clue: I believe since 2013 US MREs included a french translation which was printed below the English menu name.
That's an awesome tip, thanks Mr Pitt!

Re: How old are we?

Got these two guys today loose and I'd like to know how old they are. Is there a "photo ID" page somewhere where you find the approximate date of an MRE based on the appearance of the pouch? That is, did the "look" change in a consistent way so that you can tell the age just by the appearance (asid...

Re: What MRE is this?

Hey guys I bought these overpriced suckers in New York City at an army navy shop a while ago. Anyone know what they are? I think they’re made by Ameriqual. Never seen them before so wondering how common they are or maybe they’re a homemade job? Hey my good man, see the attached image. These appear ...

Re: HELP! Australian CR1M 2011-2012 - Safe to eat?

Old CR1M packs don’t keep well, not nearly as well as MREs for example. The temperatures they are kept at are likely a factor, but the packaging used is not nearly as durable as the American packs. I guess we didn’t have a space program to boost our packaging industries! The tinned fruit usually co...

if the museli had dried/powdered milk, it can go real bad without any signs and you won't know until it's too late. Better not to risk it. as for the main...smell, bloating, and look are the 3 main things I look for. Use your best judgement. Dried items like soups and beverage powders can harden an...
