Re: MRE Menu A's

I have a new A case that cost about $75 but based on average info entered into the postal shipping system, the shipping is more than the MREs are worth.shipping to Newfoundland seems unusually high...if you can get a case shipped for $115, I'd buy it...sorry I can't help you...good luck in your sea...

Yeah just thought I'd check one more time.

US MRE 2014 Menu# 21 Lemon Pepper Tuna

Moving on to Menu #21. Almost finished my first case of Menu B MRE's. I'm sure there's got to be a better way to describe the contents... that's a lot of commas. Haha And here we have all of the components. Aside from the tortillas and lemonade it'll be my first time trying most of the items. Seems ...

Re: US MRE 2014 Menu# 20 Pork Sausages In Cream Gravy

I use an M-1 Garand to hunt moose. They're pretty scarce here, especially a Beretta made one, issued to the Danish Army I am going to guess yours in .308/7.62x51? Nope, still is in original condition, 30-06. An absolute steal when I got it about 12 or 13 years ago, only had to pay $400 for it. Wort...

Re: US MRE 2014 Menu# 20 Pork Sausages In Cream Gravy

I can understand it being a regional thing. It is a staple in the Midwest US as well, so I've had it since I was a young one. I'm glad you got to at least try it though. Like Elandil and some of the others said, it really needs to be served with biscuits or bread to be fully appreciated as well. Hm...

Hell, I'd be happy to just have one to try, just to cross it off the 'ol bucket list. Haha

MRE Menu A's

Hey all, Just wondering what a good price wouldn't normally be for a recent case of Menu A MRE's, say 2018 Inspection date? I know being in Canada it makes the shipping that much harder, and some people on eBay won't even ship to Canada. The best I have seen, taking in price, shipping and customs ch...

Re: US MRE 2014 Menu# 20 Pork Sausages In Cream Gravy

Great review BTemple and sorry for your negative experience. I got basically hooked on the T-Rations version of sausage and gravy when I was on active duty in the early 1990s. But it sounds like the MRE version would taste the same, so no point in advising you to try a T-Rats version if they are ev...

Re: US MRE 2014 Menu# 20 Pork Sausages In Cream Gravy

I am Southern born and raised on white cream gravy! To me there is absolutely no substitute! That said, I know tons of other who say brown gravy is better too.. So, yea its def. a cultural thing. BUT - for sure you need a biscuit to serve the sausage gravy over! It should be a crime that they did n...
