2017 MRE Menu# 23 Chicken Pesto Pasta: Freshest MRE I've Ever Had!

I have to start by saying a huge thank you to eistee for hooking me up with this incredibly fresh MRE. This thing certainly traveled a lot in its short life.... made in the US, went to Germany and then took the trip back across the Atlantic to Newfoundland. This will also be the newest MRE I have ev...

Sadly the shipping costs to Canada wouldn't make these very economical.
Why there is such high shipping rates between the US and Canada I'll never know.... makes no sense that it's cheaper for me to get stuff from Europe.

Found enough free time today to review this great vintage LRP. I had high hopes for this... but alas, it was not great. Haha

Re: PBS: The Vietnam War (Ken Burns)

Read the article. This is a type of contrarian viewpoint. I thought it relied more on American soldier sentiment but the overall premise was with the South Vietnamese. The young Vietnamese girl I believe came to America. How she got here is irrelevant. In America we take are freedoms seriously as i...

I've read this entire series 5 times I believe... and I'm sure I've read the Sharpe and Flashman series that many times as well. My 3 favourite historical fiction series' of all time.

Re: British 24 Hour Ration Packs

That gives me hope for the two 2005 GP's I just got! Menu C and D, and the Treacle is in the D Menu I believe. Yep, it is Menu D. And it was in good nick. Only change to the Menu D on the bottom of the box, was Beans and Sausage instead of Corned Beef Hash. Your 2 are almost certainly the same batc...

Re: British 24 Hour Ration Packs

And Treacle Pudding.. I had it once. Have one left and saving it for a video of top 10 vintage international desserts (only have 3 so far). Nothing beats the old ORPs for the chocolate and puddings. I wish they were easier to find. Absolutely. :D The old treacle puddings are still excellent after a...

Re: British 24 Hour Ration Packs

Modern ORPs are really good rations. The aspartame drinks are awful (silver pouch) as others attest. The curry dishes are great - add a little hot diggity and you've got yourself a quality meal. I pass on the ones with corn kernels in them.. never a fan of corn. So for instance the tuna pasta salad...

This website is helpful too, I've used it numerous times when the Google translate app couldn't pick up the writing : http://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/russian.htm

Just use the keyboard like a normal one and then copy and paste the Cyrillic into google translate
