Re: Trekking Burger - A Cheeseburger In A Can

Trekking burger is back on sale! Our favorite canned burger is back on sale along with it's kebab-in-a-can counterpart as well. I noticed Gundog4314 posted a review yesterday and I was curious if it was in stock and here it is. https://www.asmc.com/Camping/Outdoor-kitchen/Eating/Food/Travellunch-Ser...

Re: IRP on a vista -A Hiking trip in the gorges of Appalachia

Very nice pics, thx for sharing! I live in the appalachians in WV, and we should have 1 leg longer than the other it's so uneven here lol. As for the IRP crackers, I've eaten a ton of IRPs and don't remember even 1 meal not having some broken crackers in it :D All the crackers seemed to be stale in...

Re: IRP on a vista -A Hiking trip in the gorges of Appalachia

Thx for the pictures. I like to see more of your campsites My phone had died within the first couple days while we were hiking. We originally planned to hike continuously for the duration of the trip but we decided to house most gear at a basecamp in one are and do day hikes at other trails. The ar...

IRP on a vista -A Hiking trip in the gorges of Appalachia

*Warning! Wall of Text ahead!* In June of last year I went hiking for about a week in the Appalachian mountains with a number of rations to serve as my main source of food. I also went to the Gulf Coast that same month too. Since I didn't review the rations I decided to dump the photos here. If the...

Re: REFORGER 1982

Wow, what some splendid high quality footage that is. Many things about this video is neat, the old school armor, the weaponry used, the uniform styles and so forth. It's crazy to think that both sides of the war were planning wage war with each other on these exact roads.

Re: Time to say good bye...

Damn it Housil! I come back from my little hiatus and the first thing I read was the title. I say this is a fine quality post except for some of the spoiled, old, EPA rations...

Re: 1984 "B" Ration Manual and 1984 Field Kitchen Manual

Looks like someone needs to buy a matching field kitchen along with a 5T truck to haul it around  Nice find, I would love to have a field kitchen one day. It'll make feeding large groups of people in situations such as camping a breeze!I wonder if similar items show up on government liquidati...

Re: Ukraine Green Bag 24 Hour MRE questions.

I've eaten both kinds of Ukrainian ration on the market (the newer green bags and the older trays), and both are essentially clones of the old Soviet rations from the Cold War. They contain the absolute basic necessities for life and that's about it, with little regard to exact nutrition or morale-...
