Re: How many US MRE a day???

The cases where you would be eating 3 MREs a day would be rather rare; perhaps an initial invasion, disaster response or other scenario where the infrastructure isn't quite together yet. Re: Shipping downers!

Re: Shipping downers!

Where do you find that "they" open anything? Again, they are just a company that makes software and machines for the postal/shipping industry. Any actual handling, inspection, fee collection, etc. is handled by a postal service and/or customs bureau.

Re: Halal MRE Case

I looked up the MSN in FEDLOG (federal supply catalog) and the advertised cost for these is $104.28 per case. This is the same NSN for the "My Own Meals" MREs, and they are still listed as an active supplier.

Re: I need you help: MRE HALAL

The US military has Halal and Kosher MREs for military use, as there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines of all persuasions. I had a whole case of these a while back: http://www.mreinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5464&hilit=halal rattattoo did a review on one: http://www.mreinfo.co...

Re: I need you help: MRE HALAL

The one you have in the picture is the real deal. They definitely don't have as long of a shelf life, possibly due to less preservatives or something else with the Halal requirements? The stuff in the silver mylar pouches does seem to go stale fairly quickly, I finished one that was just over a year...
