Re: MRE Symposium and Meetup

It is looking increasingly unlikely that I will make it but, hope is not completely diminished yet.
Is there any word on the special customs deal for the museum rations yet. If I can't make it I will still donate a CR1M for the museum and another one for one of you guys to review on the day.

Re: What is your EDC?

As much as I would love a nice pistol (and your Springfield is very nice), it is virtually impossible in Australia to own one unless you are a security guard (thinks armored car guard) or are in a pistol club. Even if you are in a pistol club if you are not at the range or travelling to the range, c...

Re: Australian CR1M Menu G from 2013

Great review mate, I have seen Menu G's on ebay here, but have never been able to snag one (either sniped or just ridiculously expensive). Those crackers (biscuits over here :wink: ) are best with the the vegemite (yeast extract tube). although I admit in their condition that would have been pretty ...

Re: French RCIR MENU #2 CHICKEN COUSCOUS/ SALMON W/RICE & VEGETABLES

Great review mate, Like all RCIR's the food looks fantastic. You are right about the amounts, there is a lot of food in that box. I have a bag of leftovers I keep for camping trips (soups coffee, bars and the like) just from RCIR's I have eaten. The last one I reviewed, had the same small packs of c...

What is the story of your members name?

I am feeling very off topic today :wink: Probably because its raining again and its my first day off in two weeks. I guess I am trying to ignite my imagination. So how did you come up with your moniker? Is it history, nicknames, fun or something that is close to you? Heres my story In Australia a "Y...

Re: What is the most 'useless' piece ration/MRE/camping equipment you own?

@Norton
I totally agree with you, beautifully made, but practically useless for anything but boiling water.
I thought the same as you about canned stuff. So much easier to heat in the can and not worry about trying to clean it l. Virtually impossible in the field.

What is the most 'useless' piece ration/MRE/camping equipment you own?

Hi all, Just a bit of a light hearted topic, I have been thinking about. It has been raining a lot here for the last month so I haven't been able to get out and about to review some rations :cry: . And when the sun has been rarely out work has been manic. So back a couple of years ago, I was on holi...
