Re: Home cooking

I made a batch of Beef Bourguignon this afternoon , That's Beef Stew to all you peasants...
Beef, potato's, onion, garlic, carrots and mushrooms.
And a bottle of red wine
Most for the pot, but some for the cook.
I surprised myself (and my wife) , it was quite good :D

Re: MRE Flavor Box, Also new member

My daughter sent me a set of salt shakers, Chipotle (which is smoked Jalapeno's), Jalapenos, Sriracha, Habanero, and Ghost peppers, from Penzy's spice Company.

Re: Bullet Meal - A Finnish Developed ration bar

Back when I was backpacking (1965), there was a "Bacon Bar", basically cooked crumbled bacon formed into a bar.

Re: NOT cruelty to animals...

I've had two cats, both strays who wandered into my life, who made it to 17 years with me.
Stray cats are not picky eaters, they'll eat ANYTHING!
Dry bread, old rice, frozen soup, when your hungry, it all fills the belly!

Re: Heating MREs in hot water

I boiled a couple of pork ribs entrees in my rice cooker today and steamed some red potato's at the same time.
(the potato's were better than the ribs...) :(
Quick and easy!
