Re: Meal, Quick Serve 6 Man

Thanks so much guys. It was a true labor of love and turned out well. I suppose a few camera angles were off and perhaps bringing non-spoiled dry milk on set for that pudding would have been nice. But mixing in non-ration items is a sort of cardinal sin for me in a purist approach to a review. It wa...

Re: April 1942 B Unit

That's the one with the rusty key right? I didn't hit the link. That one is going for about $140 over it's max value.

Actually getting about $61 off the base value of a WW1 Hard Bread tin.

What is this market coming to?

Re: Mainstay Bars for the SEA and survival water pouches. ALSO a Pad Thai Instant Noodles!

The simpler the better - and simple doesn't always mean a depressingly bland meal if prepared properly. The granola is terrific - make sure you use hot water. After talking about all this I decided to grab one of my granola w blueberries. Correction - it is 17 grams protein and 31 grams of fat. Trul...

Funny video! The mainstay bars.. I actually like that vitamin aftertaste. It's a nostalgia thing.. always loved survival food bars since I was a little kid and it never really bothered my palate. The Backpacker's Pantry meals are far superior to Mountain House. I bought a bundle of them last month. ...

That looked like a really good quality ration.

Last year I had a RILC. But never the RIL. This is one to look for!

Re: Supporting Local Fishermen..."Fresh Caught Albacore/Canned"_Lasts 20 years, awesome shelf life!

I am calling Trevor tomorrow & will see what shipping for a case to FL is. I imagine about $30 shipping which is good. Outside of rations, I only eat meat about 3-5 times a week nowadays. And 90% of that is fish. So this could be an amazing thing for me. Thanks so much again for sharing this, Wo...

Thanks for sharing, Workman. I am highly considering buying a case. That's actually a real good deal - I buy canned wild caught salmon 3.5oz cans @ $4 ea... so the price of some quality albacore like this is actually about the exact same.
