Thanks for sharing, Workman. I am highly considering buying a case. That's actually a real good deal - I buy canned wild caught salmon 3.5oz cans @ $4 ea... so the price of some quality albacore like this is actually about the exact same.

Re: 1991 Meatballs, Beef and Rice in Tom. Sauce

Another fine review Sentient! Those FD fruits were sometimes in that white packaging. Last time I saw that was with some 93s in 2010. The flavor of old Tootsie Rolls are .. interesting. They last so long - true apocalypse food. Wouldn't it be nice if the salted crackers were brought back? Nothing be...

Re: Meal, Quick Serve 6 Man

A quick jump on this post and back to work. But wanted to relay this ration in in amazing condition. I cannot imagine it woulda stayed that way though. The military spread tube cracked and any excessive heat woulda made it leak it's petrolium like substance on everything. And the jelly packets start...

Re: Storm Ophelia supper

Nice little review Conrad.
Last month there was a hurricane ripping through Florida. It was a comfort and time passer enjoying some rations with the power being out.
Glad ya got outta your storm unscathed! :)

Re: French midnight snack

What a nice variety of snacks. :)

The apricot jam and commando fruity bar really are giving me a sweet tooth at the moment. The menthol tea is fantastic - i find it especially refreshing on a cold night out camping as a relaxing close to nap time & by the fire kindof drink.

Re: Meal, Quick Serve 6 Man

Thanks BTemple and Cavguy! This is one heck of an exciting find. Pretty sure it will be in good shape too... fingers crossed. Treesuit, the 6 man version was used from 1961-66 from what i read on QMfound. Will provide a copy/paste of what i read. Well it says scheduled for completion 1966. The one i...

1981 Canadian LWP (Lightweight Patrol) Ration

I had never seen one of these before - so when coming across this one it was an exciting find indeed. Weighs only 8 ounces and I would guess contains about 900 calories max. Was it a restricted calorie 24hr ration like the US LRP's original scope of design? Or was it a single meal? Hopefully the lat...
