Re: Little EPA leicht review

Unfortunately I haven´t tried the Travellunch meals. The Veris meals were the very first freeze-dried meals I ate. The Veris pea stew was a tad dull and I´d liked to add salt and maybe some pepper in order to spice it up. Unfortunately I didn´t get any other main entrees, so I can´t really say anyth...

Re: Little EPA leicht review

Thanks for the replies, Treesuit and Housil! Unfortunately I got the food loose, since it was the rest of what my comrade got issued. Alas the chances of getting more EPA leicht stuff are rather slim. Only DSO members (more specificaly: "Soldiers who have to stay behind enemy lines are being equippe...

Little EPA leicht review

As some might know, I currently serve my 23-months conscription in a MP company. From time to time we get new soldiers who change their units in order to become a MP sergeant. We got a lance corporal (who was later promoted to corporal) from the a LRRP company. The new German "EPA, leicht" ration is...

Re: Treesuits FSR: A chairborne ranger´s review!

Chicken sounds quite good. Maybe you could add BBQ sauce, instead of mayo? I really like the MRE BBQ sauce and I guess it would taste quite good with chicken. Thanks to your package, btw, I also started to love the picante and salsa verde sauce, granola bars and peanut butter! :D When I´ll order two...

Re: Treesuits FSR: A chairborne ranger´s review!

Sorry for my longer absence, but the last weeks have been busy. :| Anyway, your idea of adding the cheese spread and Tabasco to the FSRs sounds pretty good. I really have to try that next time! Jalapeno cheese spread should work, too. The FSR bar I tried was really good, but it was the first look th...

Treesuits FSR: A chairborne ranger´s review!

Following Norges good review of Treesuits FSR I decided to create one, too. Unlike Norge I won´t eat the FSR during one day under field conditions, but I rather go for Britmans way of eating the constituents during the week. I spend my week in the baracks and after duty I´m often too lazy to go to t...

Re: Feedback - Buy/Sell/Trade

Just got Treesuits package today! He sent it on Tuesday and it only took 5 days, so shipping and processing was very fast! Also good and easy communication and as a bonus he even added some MRE components, like lots of hot sauce and other goodies. Looks like he can keep up his reputation of being a ...

Re: Favorite Multitool?

Do you mean it's forbidden or even verboten (much worst! ) to carry a pocket knife in Germany??? It´s allowed carry pocket knives in Germany, but the Bw pocket knife is a "Einhandmesser", which means its blade can be opened with one hand (theoretically) and therefore it´s forbidden t...

Re: Favorite Multitool?

I always carry a Bundeswehr Einhandmesser with me when I´m on duty. Neat tool which really has quite some uses, doesn´t matter if you´ve got to open an EPA main entree or a packet of papers. ^^ Too bad I´m not allowed to carry it when I´m off duty because it´s a forbidden item to carry but once I´m ...
