I'll second the reccomendation for chocolate hobnobs, think "crispy covered flapjacks" and you're halfway there, a british favorite :D The UK rat pack chocolate pudding in chocolate sauce is similar to a suet pudding in texture, (in fact it is suet pudding lol )really good when your out in the cold ...

There are a few of these types of rations on Ebay atm but I was not sure of them.

They seem like a good change though so I may well purchase some.

Ok thanks for the replies :D

I found it strange that there was a Wayfarer meal in the package, I guess they must ship all over europe then.

Can't complain when its a freebie though.

I'll open up the crackers and take some photo's when I next go on a hike, see how they fare. :D

I have also had mould growth on the outer case of some British 24h packs due to the cold damp climate here in the lakes district. I mainly store my reserves in an outhouse which extends from the back of my home, its nice and dark / cold, but does get damp in winter. I use a couple of HG Moisture Abs...
