I don't know if anyone has brought this up, but remove from pkg., place on paper towel and microwave 15-20 seconds. Works with twins, Italian bread sticks, multigrain also. Makes them incredibly soft. Taste different also, better, in my opinion.

When I was at Riley, on Thanksgiving Day, me and a couple guys dressed in Class A's. As soon as we got in line at the Mess Hall, the Bn. CSM came and grabbed us, took to front of the line. Works everytime.

I give it 2 thumbs up. Like beef stew with chunks of hard bread. A few small chunks of potatoes and carrots. No turnips on the ingredients. This is probably the future of the WW1 Maconochie ration.

I'm going to try that with a Dutch FRH, wearing protective face-mask and/or goggles. And the victim will be a Latvian 250g can of pork with buckwheat. The art of the possible!

Those were top 3 MRE meal's in mid-late '80's, especially if in FRG. German country folk would give me DM 20 for 1 pack of MRE frankfurters. I liked them myself, on a MRE cracker.

I recommend Foreignmre for everything they have in stock. I have several orders in past, no problems. Shipping is included in cost per ration, order a few, and save a few bucks. Gets to you in 2-3 days in America.
