Re: Russian Army rations - 'small' version

Did a bit more looking. Maybe a repackaged one of these? No stove though... Same spoon. I really like both styles of the ration. However the plastic packaged one is resealable. At least it was on that OPRP :)

Re: Russian Army rations - 'small' version

Almost looks like they are just repackaging the single meal OPRP. Here's a 2018 Russian Federal Security Service - Single Meal with it's components. Look nearly identical besides the spoon. Maybe one of our russian friends can fill us in.

January 1952 - Food Packet Survival ST-3 - In-depth Review!

Gotta say, that was a super cool ration to take a look at it. The jelly bars were an experience and the gum was incredible. I bought this ration already opened but with all the components which allowed me to not agonize myself over if I should open it or not. I normally do that with the old stuff. G...

Re: 1982 Chicken Loaf MRE Review

Seriously great stuff..! That main looks so wild. Really liked the old packaging better it just has that "militaria" look. With that main and the old MCI spoon. Really shows ya how close 82 was to the MCI era.

Just looks so cool! Thanks for sharing!

2018 - Lithuanian Combat Ration - Menu 10 - Beef Stew with Vegetables.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbikioUZhao Had a great time checking out the ever popular and tasty Lithuanian ration. They stand up to the hype and really fill the quality and "normal food" itch that American MREs just simply lack. Of course, these only have a two year shelf life and a much more l...

Re: UN 12 hour Patrol Combat Ration Occidental 2

Hey, great review! I just checked out a Halal menu #2 so it's really cool to see another one of these things. I thought that apple protein drink was so awful, worst protein drink I've had in a ration! Interesting to see you liked it! My Pineapple beverage base was really great and barely made up for...

Re: Vintage 1980's LRP Review - Food Packet Long Range Patrol Ration Menu 2 Chili Con Carne

Your definitely right on there. I think Cadillac products did the MREs pretty early on in the first gen MRE era. I think the LRPs printed sideways but in the brown bag are late 70's - 81ish. I'd say this one is 81-83ish. But purely a shot in the dark with a lot of assumptions. Do we see Cadillac pro...
