add coffee packet & ice to chocolate protein drink

I've been saving mine and finally had one. At first I was scoffing at the label because 12g of protein for 270 calories doesn't pass for a protein shake in my opinion. I dropped the coffee packet in mine and used crushed ice water, I highly recommend it this way. Not much in the way of nutrition, bu...

What was that type III coffee like? I've heard from other reviewers its a travesty. Thanks for the write up! If you're a very positive and cheerful reviewer like Steve, you might call it smooth. Otherwise you might say bland or tasteless. Much like a cheap pilsner, it lacks in flavor and bitterness...

Re: Menu #22 Asian Style Beef Strips w/ vegetables

I just ate this recently and was too lazy to write a review. I liked the bread, it was puffy and dense at the same time. Interesting tactile experience just to pick up and touch. I agree about the main course, it needed rice or noodles big time. It's basically that cheap canned chow mein with the bl...

I've put a squirt of sriracha on ice cream, but haven't used it in coffee yet. Hmmm.
Careful, the vinegar along with the salt is going to make the coffee suck. Stay away from acidity and salt with coffee.

Choc. Hazelnut Cocoa beverage

I just tried menu 15 - Mexican Style Chicken Stew. The chocolate beverage powder was far more flavorful than expected! I think they were going for what in Californian Spanish is called a Champurrado. It's spiced hot chocolate. Usually there's cinnamon and ground hot pepper added to spice it up. If y...

Re: Newbie comments on Menu 19 – Beef Patty, Jalapeno Pepper Jack

What's the date on that meal? Both of the #19 meals I've eaten came with a double pack of MRE bread. The meal is essentially a bacon cheeseburger with two desserts. Or is intended to be; it's a pretty sad cheeseburger. It's comparable to a real one in the way that MRE pizza compares to the real thi...

Newbie comments on Menu 19 – Beef Patty, Jalapeno Pepper Jack

Menu 19 – Beef Patty, Jalapeno Pepper Jack OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIE TFF : This cookie was as good as any crisp cookie you’re ever going to find pre-packaged in a U.S. civilian grocery store. It’s very thick and oversized like a novelty soft-bake cookie, but extremely crumbly and crisp in a ve...

Re: Bridgford Foods Naan

Just wanted to point out that naan makes awesome personal sized pizza crust, pre-seasoned with italian seasoning can be turned in to a good thing on a budget.

Re: Newbie Comments on Menu 13 - Cheese Tortellini in Tomato Sauce

Nice to see written reviews. I love this menu and appreciate your perspective! Thanks, It was fun to work it out in a word document because I had to look back and reflect on each bit. It was surprisingly good descriptive writing practice, unexpectedly. One thing that bothers me with videos is the v...

Newbie Comments on Menu 13 - Cheese Tortellini in Tomato Sauce

Main course: I was pleasantly surprised to see that the sauce remained thick after heating. The scent of onion powder rose immediately upon opening the pouch, was pleasantly strong and not over powering. I had expected the sauce to be bland and sickly sweet in a way similar to Chef Boyardee and oth...
