Re: French RCIR - Menu #1 Ostrich in Cranberry Sauce

Thanks and thanks :) On the other hand, I envy people who feel comfortable doing video reviews (I decided to keep my lame attempts to the g+ profile and pretend that's not me ^^)

I think French got a bit of a sweet tooth and chocolate love. But I can't complain about that!

French RCIR - Menu #1 Ostrich in Cranberry Sauce

There's this old saying that how you spend the last/first day of the year is how the whole new year will go for you. I don't believe in luck but better now tempt it, right? Trying out some new, amazing food will certainly bring some good things my way! So here's my first experience of French RCIR, t...

WTB: surprise Christmas treat

Apologies for the vague subject but that's exactly what I'm looking for. Cashed out recently some internet survey earnings so now I got about 35$ on Paypal (not much, I know) - can add bit more in live cash which would bring my total budget (shipping included) to about 45 USD. Not much, I realize an...

Re: Canadian '16 IMP - Menu #15 Poutine

I can't complain about hash browns - even without the fried crunchy deliciousness it was a rather nice experience. Poutine though turned out more like something from a failed Masterchef re-invention challenge, where someone preserved all the components of the dish but somehow managed to rid them of ...

Canadian '16 IMP - Menu #15 Poutine

One more Canadian ration for me. This time - infamous poutine! (cause of my favourite Canadian pestering me for quite some time). IMG_20171209_073709.jpg IMG_20171209_083901.jpg Checking the contents, I was definitely curious about the tropical trail mix. And why would someone think of tortilla/pb+j...

Canadian '16 IMP - Menu #12 Pulled Pork

I don't believe we had this one here yet. My first thought was a bit of a surprise cause pulled pork sounds more American to me and AFAIK it was never among the MRE menus? Also, it appears they've done away with the double drinks and the toothpicks. Which is a shame, if you ask me. SDC12683.JPG SDC1...

Re: Applesauce Cake TFF

I had that in my first MRE - it was in 2015 menu #10 - Chili and macaroni.

And I was pretty much as happy with it as you, Simon :D Really nice crumbly piece of cake with proper apple flavour to it !
