Even with kneading, the Cheese Spread was pretty grainy and a little brown. Not smooth. It tasted OK with some spice, but not too hot. HOWEVER, about 30 minutes later, it wasn't sitting well in my stomache. Just a bit of heartburn and "re-taste." The cheese keeps "talking" to me all the time after ...

That looks like a great item, housil. Did you open that recently to sample, or are those older pics? It was taken 2016, when that FD was 11 years "old": Topf.jpg Bundeswehr ones didn´t have a best by date, just a production date as all military ones. I don´t mind age of FD rations due to my own exp...

Eistee is right, the EPa leicht (not "light"!!) was a box to feed 4 soldiers a whole day with 8 FD entrees etc. First version with canned "crackers" (left), second in a pouch (right) EPa leicht4.jpg 8 FD entrees, bars, energy drinks like a McD milk shake etc. EPa leicht5.jpg Beef stew KBR1.jpg KBR2....
