Seems like the Bundeswehr is cutting down expenses or making rations lighter. ...or they have realized, not every soldier has extra water/time/situation in the fields to stir water/powder for a "meal"? Be carefull with the squit of death, when opening a can of any sort or a tray like the ones in the Epa, specially if heated, if you by accident put pressure on the lid or if you have heated it too much it can squit like hell, and in the best case scenario, you will get tomato and oil stains all ove...

Even with kneading, the Cheese Spread was pretty grainy and a little brown. Not smooth. It tasted OK with some spice, but not too hot. HOWEVER, about 30 minutes later, it wasn't sitting well in my stomache. Just a bit of heartburn and "re-taste." The cheese keeps "talking" to me all the time after ...

That looks like a great item, housil. Did you open that recently to sample, or are those older pics? It was taken 2016, when that FD was 11 years "old": Topf.jpg Bundeswehr ones didn´t have a best by date, just a production date as all military ones. I don´t mind age of FD rations due to my own exp...
