Re: Das Boot - Trailer

The film was serialised on T.V. here in England with English subtitles in the 80's. Everyone I worked with watched every episode and we would discuss the previous evenings episode. One Christmas I received from my family the DVD, which was overdubbed in English, awful!, totally ruined it for me. I e...

Re: British 24 hour Ration - Menu H7

Really nice review, great shots too! Funny you say you're too shy for videos, because I am super shy in real life, but on here everyone is so welcoming you'll feel confident in no time! I'm too scared to do written reviews because I'm terrible with the English language, so I'm always afraid someone...

Re: Dunkirk - Trailer

Saw "Dunkirk" last Friday, the first day of release here in the U.K.

I now realise why my father never spoke of being there after seeing the beach scenes. (Don't want to spoil it for anyone).

He was sixteen years old, rearguard defence at Berques, got off the beach on June 4th.

Re: Singapore Ration Display-With new addition

Hi to all,

Excellent review.

With the recent heatwave we had a couple of weekends ago, we tried the "fried egg on the bonnet of a Jeep".

This puzzled the general public,

Re: Looking to buy RCIRs

Stoneleigh Militaria Fair is very big, two large halls. Some sellers have "Rat packs" on the floor underneath their tables, so it can take some time to find. I was told by a friend that someone was selling American rat packs there last year but I didn't see them and I was there for nearly five hours...

Re: Looking to buy RCIRs

Stoneleigh Militaria Fair, 29th Jan. For the past seven years I've bought French RCIRs there by the shedload. The best person to buy from, ( if he's there ), is a Flemish seller. From the entrance turn left, turn left again into one of the main halls, as you go through the doorway into the large hal...
