Sounds like things are shaping up nicely for this thing. I know, me personally, I'm not really bringing anything to trade. I'm just going more just to meet everybody. I expect it to be a good time even if it is only really for a single day, but hey, they have to get back to business to fulfill orders.
Even if you reserve your rooms now you will get the event pricing (whatever that ends up being) so just keep that in mind. I know cause I used to attend a lot of functions with my former employer. The 99.9% of venues will honor it.

When I used to use ebay to procure rations I once got sniped in the last 10 seconds for a ration bundle. It happens. After that, I always went straight to "buy now" or contacted the seller for a "buy now" purchase if he/she had several of the item.
